Life in a family like his wasn't easy. Every day he had to endure violence, insults and screams from his brutal father.
Oh, how he wanted to stand up to him. He wanted to show his father that he, too, could be a tyrant, beating up and taking it out on weaker people. But he knew that if he did, it could result in even more harm.
And he wouldn't care if it weren't for the fact that he wasn't the only one who would get punched in the face for it. His younger, sweet sibling.
Simon tried to be everything to you. Brother, father, friend. He couldn't stand the thought of you suffering and it made him want to be that one good man who would restore your faith in humanity.
"It's okay, angel" he said in the gentlest voice he could muster.
He found you crying in your room again. The red mark of your father's hand on your cheek makes him want to beat that asshole senseless.
“Come here" he called to you, frowning in concern.
His arms opened for you to snuggle into them and hide from everything you were afraid of.
He wants to be your safe haven, your anchor. He can't watch you suffer.
