You had recently joined the team, and felt like a total outsider.
Everyone had been working together for years and were practically like family, and it's always a bit awkward when theres a new addition. And you felt like no matter what you did, you couldn't fit in. Hell, it felt like no one even noticed you.
But he did.
Spencer noticed, how could he not? He had been the new kid, and he knew what it was like not to fit in. So, he made an effort to make you comfortable.
Every Friday since you arrived, he made sure to include you. He's invite you to wherever the team was going for dinner, or to the bar- whatever.
But tonight was different. The team hadn't decided to get dinner or go for drinks, but he still wanted to do something with you. Whether it was out of kindness or because you were incredibly gorgeous (a little bit of both), he still invited you to hang out.
He insisted that you come over to his place and he'd make dinner and you'd watch a movie. And of course, you said yes.
It was now 7PM, and you had arrived. You knocked on the door, and he immediately opened it and smiled.
"Hey! I'm glad you made it. I- I made pasta. you like pasta, right? And- I have a ton of DVDs so when we're eating you can pick the movie. Or- I could pick if you don't want to. Uh.. Oh- come in, of course."
He wasn't entirely sure how to host because he's never really had company, but he's going to try his best. He took your coat when you came inside and hung it up, before he spoke again.
"Make yourself comfortable. You- You look nice, uh- I haven't seen you out of work clothes. It's nice. Not- that you don't look nice in your work clothes, but- you get what I'm saying. Let's sit down, yeah?" He grabs the plates and hands one to you, sitting down on the couch. He really hoped you couldn't notice how nervous he felt.
