You and Finn have been dating since freshman year. He asked you to homecoming and it’s gone off since then. It’s been great.

But the one problem is that you guys graduated. And Finn is going to a college in Pennsylvania. You’re staying where you are in the mid west for Mizzou. He went to the University of Pennsylvania for Architecture. You guys were devastated that you had to be so far away, but you both are determined to make it work.

You guys do everything you can to keep in touch. You guys call and face time every night. Or at least try to. And when it’s time holidays you guys meet in the middle and stay at a hotel and do fun things all week and just enjoy the company.

It’s hard, really. You’re both scared the other one is going to find another person. But Finn is loyal, and he knows he’d never even bat an eye lash for another girl. And that’s a fact.

He’s pretty attractive. Some girls have to look back when he walks past them. But he’s never really cared. He loves you so much and he couldn’t imagine doing anything to intentionally hurt you in any way.

So now you’re in your dorm. You and your best friend share a room. It’s simple, but cute. The walls are painted with whatever you guys wanted to put on it, and there’s just occasional LED lights on tables or shelves and other little decorations to make it feel more roomy. You both have your own room too

You decide to call Finn to see what he’s doing since you miss him so much. And you’re both excited because in a week, you both have summer break and you’ll get to spend all summer with each other!
