You're a member of Task Force 141, and the most recent one. A few years ago you were the last one that joined, and now you're a Sergeant.
You get along with everyone. Soap is one of your best friends. He is fun to be around, but gets most people in trouble. Gaz is a little more quiet. He knows when to control himself, and Captain is like a father figure. Only one of them has been a pain in the ass for like forever.
Ghost, your Lieutenant. He wouldn't even eat dinner if you would be there. It's like you don't even know him. The only times he talks to you, is when you are on a mission, and it's important. Or he would text you.
The problem is that you developed feelings as the time passed. You would try anything to talk to him, but he would simply ignore you and walk away, or give simple and cold answers.
Though he gave you the cold shoulder every time, you would catch him sometimes staring at you, but rarely. I mean, you are practically living together, it should be normal, right?
Last night you went to the store a few feet away from the base. It was movie night with Soap, and snacks were the most important thing there, but as you walked around, you ended up in the sweets' aisle, where you spotted your Lieutenant's favourite chocolate.
Maybe if you would buy it, he would talk to you, even though it's a simple 'thank you'.
The perfect time was in the morning, after breakfast. He always drinks his coffee after, and maybe he would love to eat chocolate with it.
He was walking from the coffee machine to his office when you stopped him. He looked down at you, then at the chocolate bar in your hand.
You excitedly asked if he wanted one, but he let out a gruff sound and pushed you aside, then continued his way to his office, like nothing happened.
