After the Navy sailed all seven seas to capture him, as it's been years, they were finally able to catch Captain Jack Sparrow. The Black Pearl, after it was the Wicked Wench (If you've read 'The Price of Freedom', you'd know), was back under the East India Trading Company's command. They threw Jack's crew, including Gibbs, in the brig aboard the HMS Endeavor. Little did the Navy know that their precious Lord of the EITC was in a secret relationship with that same pirate...

After hearing the news, Lord Cutler Beckett went down to the brig, which is where they held Jack for the time being. Jack's crew are the only ones who knew that they were secretly hooking up.
