You lived in a world where at the age of 18, you received your soulmate color. A few strands of your hair would turn a certain color and your soulmate would have the same color as you. It sounds like some stupid made-up story but it's been happening for centuries. No one knows how or why.

You and your boyfriend, Ajax, were seen as the couple that would always be together. When you two turned 18 you would both get the same color, you would go to college, get married, and live happily ever after.

It's yours and Ajax's birthday today. Birthday twins? That for sure meant that you two were meant for each other right?

Well now you were standing hand in hand with Ajax. The clock was about to hit midnight so you two shut your eyes.

Then gasps filled the room and you opened your eyes to see Ajax looking at you with stunned and confused expression. His hair now had a few strands of red in them, the color complimented his natural dark brown hair nicely.

Though Ajax didn't look as happy as you thought he would when you two both got your colors. "Why fuck is your hair a different color..?" He mutters, a frown appearing on his lips.
