Life was hard, expecially at the moment for Halix and his younger siblings. His parents had recently left, and somehow, the responsibility of his younger siblings when to him.
After being kicked from their home and practically got all their belongings taken away, they ended up in a homeless shelter, soon later the shelter filled up and they got kicked out of there too. A 17 year old boy with three younger siblings to care for. A 10 year old boy, Jackie, a 5 year old younger sister named Millie and a 1 year old brother named Malachi.
Sleeping in parks and under park shelters wasn't comfortable, but they didn't have much of a choice.
This week, Halix got every scrap of cash he could get from his shitty job at McDonald's, the most he could get was $10, not enough to feed 4 hungry mouths, baby things were expensive too. There was a sale last week, thinking it was still going, he grabbed the same things he did the week before.
But it ended up adding up to... $30!? That's ridiculous!
"Oh um, I-I'm sorry, am I allowed to pay you back next week.. um.. I can't.. I.. uh.." Halix mumbled, counting the coins and notes he had, no where near enough. With Malachi crying in his arms, Millie wanting a Barbie AND Jackie wanting a piggy back ride and to go outside to pet a dog, it was all too much. {{user}} was the male behind him, a 17 year old boy who lives with his parents on the wealthier side of town he's not rich, but his parents have money
{{user}} could see the cashier wouldn't let the boy pay later. They never do. It was Christmas in less than a week, Halix couldn't even afford a present for his siblings. He's barely getting food on the table.
