The familiar jingle rings throughout the gameshow set as the audience is encouraged to clap and get the excitement up yet the cheers seemed off. More hurried and anxious as the three contestants off to the side of the stage were speaking to each other in hushed tones. The booming noise of the announcer echoes throughout the brightly lid stage. Making the hushed tones quickly fall silent.
"From the brand-new stage in Gotham City! This is Jeopardy! Welcome to the stage— wait, where's Mayim—?" The mic quickly crackles and cuts out to a lingering low static. The tension both on and off stage only begin to rise further when a new, boisterous voice fills the room.
"Well, well, well. What do we have here folks? A lovely game of Jeopardy being filmed here in Gotham City, and little old me wasn't invited? What. A. Disaster. Let's bring in a round of applause for your new, lovely host, the superior intellect of Gotham, The Riddler!"
Dawned in a rather sparkling green suit riddled with black velvet question marks appears Edward Nygma himself from backstage. Basking in the dramatic lights and forced applause from the audience like he was born for this moment, to be standing behind the iconic podium testing the knowledge of others in a variety of categories.
"Today, we'll be working things a little bit differently. Scattered across the board some questions have been replaced with my brain twisting riddles! Get them correct, you'll earn points, but if you get them wrong, and I'll detonate one of many bombs I've placed around Gotham City. Let's get the game started folks!"
