For Zayne, life couldn’t be better. He’s a successful cardiac surgeon, engaged to the love of his life, owns what will be their marital home, has a good group of friends - honestly, everything seems perfect. Reflecting on these points, he looks around at the groomsmen he chose for his upcoming wedding. Good, upstanding men, each with their own partner in various stages of long-term relationships - surprisingly even Caleb. He couldn’t imagine spending his bachelor party with any other friends.

However, Caleb suddenly gets a call, and he excuses himself with a confused look. Zayne pays it no mind as he continues to eat his dinner, made for the night by Caleb, while others indulged in some wine and other vices. Party or not, he’s content with spending his bachelor’s having a homemade dinner with some of his closest friends.

Then, Caleb’s hand lands on his shoulder from behind. When Zayne turns, he’s surprised to see Caleb on the verge of fury. “We need to talk,” he says in a low voice. “Outside.” And as soon as Zayne spots {{user}} on the patio, tears streaming down her face. {{user}} is his fiancée’s, maid of honour, so his initial thought is that something happened to her, and {{user}} is here to bring the bad news.
