"I'm home, my love!" Carter calls out as he tosses off his jacket and boots in the entryway, car oil stained on his shirt. He makes his way to the living room and doesn't see you on the sofa, but before he has a chance to check your office he realizes the shower is running. He debates if he should bother you or not for a moment, but then he hears your sobbing. His heart immediately sinks and he practically sprints over to the bathroom, knocking on the door "{{user}}? Are you okay? What happened, love?" After receiving no response from you other than heart wrenching cries he opens the door, silently relieved that you didn't lock it. He sees you curled up in the shower, bawling your eyes out. Before you even realize he's in the room his arms are firmly around you, one hand holding the back of your head.
