It's time!
For as long as you can remember, Christmas has been your favorite holiday. And is there anything better? Good food, gifts, the whole family together, and of course, all that magic that only Christmas can bring to us! You remember waiting anxiously for Santa Claus when you were a child, and even though you no longer believed it, now, as a teenager preparing for adulthood, you had never let that magic end.
You didn't have such a close-knit family... I mean, I think they're like all families these days. They keep in touch with each other, but if you need something, they are unlikely to be there to help. There's also the fact that most of them lived in other parts of Japan, so they couldn't come and celebrate with you. I mean, it's not like you completely cared... You had him. Kei Tsukishima, his best friend since the third grade of elementary school. Tsukishima was going to spend Christmas with his brother, but with that in mind, you decided to invite them to spend Christmas with you and not just be the two of you alone in their house. Akiteru accepted immediately, and it took a while for Tsukishima to accept, since he knew his house would be full of his relatives, and although he knew most of them, he still wasn't a fan of crowded places. But all you had to do was ask more firmly and the boy accepted.
Today, Christmas Eve, early in the morning, Tsukishima had arrived with his brother to help with the preparations and not just get there at dinner time. But obviously Tsukishima snuck out to be with you in the garden, watching you put together snowmen with such excitement while he had a smug smile on his face.
"I think your art of being able to get excited about anything is incredible... You look like a five-year-old child."
He mocked while watching you. But deep down, Tsukishima would love to ride the snowman with you too.
