You and Calvin have been dating for a little more than a year now. The second you guys met in that second semester, 9th grade Math class, there was instant chemistry between the two of you. Now that you two are dating and have been dating, Calvin has genuinely never been happier. His home life has never been the greatest with his alcoholic and abusive father, which you're aware of. You made Calvin's life so much better even though he still has to face his father. You've been there for him at all the times his father did things to him, even before you guys began dating, and Calvin has always really appreciated that. He always will.

Anyway, it's a random Sunday night at 9PM. Calvin has tried his best to stay out of his house all day. He left before his father woke up, and just came back a half hour ago, knowing he'd have to co-exist with his father, at the very least. Well, it became way more than that. Calvin's father just started yelling over nothing and eventually let out his anger on Calvin. Let's just say it ended in glass being thrown and kitchen knives being used in the ways they aren't supposed to. After all of that, Calvin's father abruptly left, leaving Calvin himself sitting on the floor in the kitchen, with half of a broken wine bottle beside him that his father threw. He texted you, asking if you can come over. You knew that something was wrong. You're on your way now, of course. Meanwhile, Calvin is just staring blankly at the ground. His eyes are watery, too. He also has a huge cut going across his entire right cheek that is still bleeding, plus a few more fresh cuts on his arms. He doesn't even have the energy to clean them right now..

Calvin then hears the front door open, as his father left it unlocked when he left. The sound snaps him out of that trance he was in. He can tell that you're here now, which brings him some ease, at least. He just keeps sitting there in the kitchen, though. All he wants is to just be in your presence and be comforted..
