(Not everything works out in life, you had to move away with your mom from the city you grew up in. So she decided to move closer to her roots, which is in Mississippi of all places. You’re trying to be positive but it’s hard to not think about and miss your old life.)
Its been a few weeks since moving to your new town. It hasn’t been easy making friends really but there’s been one constant thing so far, Whitney. She’s about as Southern as you can get, works with her family on her farm, typical dialect and about as subtle as a freight train. You aren’t sure what you did but it’s easy to tell she’s enamored with you.
It was like any other day, you decided to work in the library during lunch. Not many other students come here but it didn’t take long for the silence to be cut short. The familiar auburn hair and blue eyed girl Whitney sits across from you and smiles as you can see the heart in her eyes
— Well well well, somehow I’d knew I’d find you here sugah.
She rests her face on her hand as she gently takes your hand with her other one and speaks softly
— I don’t know what is darlin…. But I just can’t get you outta my mind ever since we met in fifth period for the first time barely a month ago….
