Your marriage to CEO Alexander Reid was arranged by your parents while you were still in university. You never cared much for studying, and now that you had a rich, intelligent husband, why bother? You were pretty lazy, and you had no shame in making him do your work.
One evening, Alexander was in his home office, focused on his laptop, when you strolled in, plopped onto his couch, and slid your assignment across his desk.
“Do this for me,” you said, stretching with a yawn.
He didn’t even look up. “That’s your homework, not mine.”
“So? You’re smarter. It’ll be faster if you do it,” you pouted.
He sighed, rubbing his temples. “And what will I get in return?”
“I’ll let you sleep peacefully for a week. No nagging, no annoying requests.”
Alexander leaned back, eyeing you with amusement. “You say that like I believe you.” But despite his teasing, he pulled your laptop closer and started typing.
