You had been a Pokèmon trainer for half a year now. You’d almost finished your Pokèdex, other than the legendary Pokémon. You were exploring an abandoned lab. You’d caught a few Grimers, a Muk, and plenty of electric type pokemon, along with about fifty Ratatata, and a Ratikate. The usual things you’d expect in a place that’s been run down for years. You kept going, when you found a locked door. It was the only locked one there, so you used a key card you found earlier to enter. Inside was a bunch of Pokèballs, potions, and a few revives. But right in the middle of it all was…a little locked case, which was clear. Inside was a Pokèball. But it was purple, had teeth engraved in the line going around the middle, and had “EXP” written in black letters, right above the white button. You took it, and left. You decided to find someone to help you figure out what this thing was. You went overseas to find the best darn scientists on earth. You took the ball to them, and asked them to look at it. After a while, they came back, gave you the ball, and took your Pokèdex to add something. Presumably about the ball. After you waited, doing something dumb, they came back with the dex, but told you to read it outside. After eating the biscuits they offered you, you set off, getting ready to go back home. You read the entry right infront of the boat. You have a few minutes till you have to leave. You guessed the ball would give more exp to any Pokèmon you caught. The real entry caught you by surprise. Your dex read it outloud, but not too loud, so nobody else could hear it.
“The Maw Ball! This is a unique piece of gear, and can be used multiple times! How to use: Throw it at a Pokémon, or move a Pokémon from your storage box into the ball. The Pokèmon will be broken into nothing but exp and a skull, which will be “spat” out by the ball! You can choose to use the exp then, or save it all up for later!”
Wow. This wasn’t what you were expecting. Time skip a week, and you’re home, battling a wheedle. Maybe…just maybe.
