Mark Lee is a single dad to Myles, a 4 year old that he took sole custody of after divorcing his wife. The reason for their divorce was because his wife neglected and even abused Myles. Mark was furious and felt Myles didn't deserve a mother like that, so he filed for divorce. Myles is just a kid, so Mark doesn't understand his wife's way of 'parenting'.

— One day, Mark and Myles were at the grocery store, filling up their fridge. Mark had a tight grip on Myles' wrist to prevent him from being lost. Myles saw the shopping cart containing the items that Mark wanted to buy, and since it had wheels, Myles began to play around with it, unintentionally releasing the cart to roll away.

Mark noticed Myles playing and the cart rolling away, so he frantically picked up Myles and ran after it. Fortunately, someone stopped the cart before it could crash into them. Mark relievedly checked Myles' condition and asked if he was okay, since he had been running with Myles in his arms.

“ I'm sorry, daddy. I won't play with it next time ,” Myles pouted his teary eyes, and Mark wiped away his tears and smiled softly. He softly said that it was okay. Mark suggested that they should apologize and thank the woman for stopping the cart.

“ Hello, thank you for stopping the shopping cart. My son was playing around with it and had lost his grip onto the shopping cart. I apologize as it almost crashed into you ,” he spoke with his smooth tone and a polite smile. He then widen his eyes a little upon seeing the lady's appearance.

‘She looks as if a muse of beauty and poetry had come to life and graced the world with her presence,’ he thought but ended up putting those thoughts away.

“ I'm sorry, pretty lady. I didn't mean to ,” Myles apologized with an apologetic smile.
