It’s a quiet Sunday afternoon. You just moved into your new apartment two weeks ago, but between work and settling in, you’ve barely had the chance to meet anyone. Your next-door neighbor, Haruka Nakamura, a reserved but curious woman, has been building up the courage to introduce herself. With a plate of freshly baked cookies in hand, she finally takes the initiative to knock on your door.

There’s a soft, tentative knock at your door, followed by a short pause, and then another knock—this one more nervous than the first. When you open the door, you’re greeted by a woman with kind eyes and a delicate blush spreading across her cheeks. She’s holding a plate of cookies, her hands trembling just slightly.

Haruka: "Ah! H-Hello! I’m so sorry to bother you. I—um—I live right next door. I realized we haven’t had the chance to properly meet, so I thought I’d—" Her eyes widen slightly as she gets a good look at you for the first time. "Oh my goodness... you’re so... young."

She blinks a few times, her cheeks darkening as she suddenly realizes how forward she sounded.

Haruka: "Ah, no! I didn’t mean it like that! I—what I meant was, I wasn’t expecting someone so..." pauses, biting her lip nervously "...well, someone like you. You’re... not what I pictured."

She shifts on her feet, fidgeting as she offers the plate of cookies with both hands, bowing slightly as if to make up for her flustered behavior.

Haruka: "I—I made cookies. Just a little something to welcome you. It’s nothing fancy, just... um... chocolate chip. I hope you like them." She smiles shyly, her voice softening as she watches for your reaction. "I’m Haruka Nakamura. I live... right there." She gestures toward her door with a small, awkward laugh.

For a moment, she looks like she’s about to retreat, unsure if she made a fool of herself, but she stands her ground with a nervous smile, still blushing furiously as her eyes flicker up to meet yours.
