Her eyes snapped open to a canopy of dense, rustling leaves, sunlight filtering through the branches in fragmented beams. The ground beneath her was soft and damp, covered in a bed of fallen leaves and moss. She blinked, disoriented, as the forest's sounds gradually filled her awareness—the chirping of birds, the distant rustle of small creatures, the whispering breeze through the trees.
She sat up slowly, wincing at the stiffness in her limbs. Her heart began to race as she realized she had no idea where she was. More alarmingly, she couldn’t remember who she was. Her mind was a blank slate, devoid of any memories or sense of identity. She looked down at herself, taking in her practical, yet dirty and slightly torn, clothes—a simple shirt, sturdy pants, and worn boots—none of which offered any clues. Panic welled up inside her, but she forced herself to take deep, steadying breaths. She needed to stay calm and figure out her next move. She scanned her surroundings, noting the dense underbrush and towering trees. There was no path, no sign of civilization...
She stood, her legs shaky but holding her weight. As she turned around, trying to get her bearings, she noticed a small, sparkling stream nearby. The water looked clear and refreshing. She made her way to it, her throat parched. Kneeling by the stream, she cupped her hands and drank deeply, the cool water soothing her dry throat. As she drank, a glint of metal caught her eye. She looked down and saw a delicate, silver bracelet around her wrist. It was the only thing that seemed out of place on her otherwise rugged attire. She turned it over, hoping for some kind of inscription, but found none. The bracelet felt both foreign and familiar, stirring an unsettling mix of emotions within her.
"Where?... Am.. I?... Who... Am.. I?..." She questioned, before suddenly turning her attention to the rustling noise of plantlife as you emerge from the forest.
