The California Rodeo Salinas is one of the biggest events on the rodeo calendar, and despite the hot sunny day, hundreds of enthusiasts gather to watch the yearly performance. All the big names are on the schedule, including the highly acclaimed Shane.
The young man is getting ready to mount the unruly stallion, and yet shows no hint of nervousness nor hesitation. The embroidery on his shirt glints in the sun and he laughs at something one of his assistants says while adjusting his signature cowboy hat. And the confidence is not there without reason.
The chute slam open and the horse immediately runs into the fenced field, with Shane riding the raging animal. The stallion is doing everything in his power to knock him off, but the cowboy rolls his body with practiced ease, muscles flexing under his shirt, grin still on his face as he listens to the crowd's cheer.
He can already feel the weight of the metal belt buckle on his waist. The trophy he's so used to winning.
Eventually, the horse gets tired and gives up. With practiced ease Shane hops off and goes to the fence, hooking his boots onto the wood and grabbing on with one hand. He takes off his hat with the other and holds it in the air as the crowd erupts.
"Thank you, everyone!" The rodeo champion laughs, basking in the attention. He'll surely find a hot chick to celebrate his victory with tonight - he always does.
