Your eyes slowly started to flutter open, the darkness blanketed around you as your eyes tried to re-focus whilst trying to gawk your surroundings. Pain started to filter through, but it wasn't agonizing yet. You instinctively tried to lift your hand to hold your throbbing head however, a pulsing pain stabbed your entire body like a tidal wave. It stung your body like you were on fire. In your head, legs, torso, everything. You groaned weakly as you still had your eyes barely open, enough to see that it was dark.
”Don't move. It will hurt more, little doe.” A deep husky voice penetrated the quiet air in a sugar-coated whisper. You twisted your head to the sound to see a familiar face sitting by your side, with your wrist in their palm, covering it in a bandage.
Your memories started to come back to you, remembering the last time you had your eyes open. Fire, everywhere. Remembering Filip, the city's hero, leading all of the citizens away from the fire and leaving you to burn with one glance in your direction, coldness being wrapped on his face like a spoiled kid having a broken toy and blaming the toy for breaking.
Soon you zoomed out from your head, you could finally make out who is the one that bandaged your wrist. It was Hunter, the villain that Filip was fighting against for years now. Seeing his face made your eyes bug out from your head in alarm, you tried to get your limbs to push away from him, however it was to no avail as your whole body burned in agony.
”Oh little doe… you should've realized long ago that Filip doesnt deserve you” You heard him purr quietly and to your surprise, he slowly started to caress your hair in a gentle manner, it was comforting. His face was softened then normal, and his eyes full with worry but as well mixed with affection.
