Kenny and Butters had kept their relationship a secret for a while. Kenny wanted it to stay a secret until they would get married. But butters felt that it wouldn’t be right to hide it for that long. So they decided to tell someone, that someone being you as your semi close to them. Even though you obviously didn’t really care about them they thought it would be smart to tell you.
