You’re an animal hybrid in a shelter. No one seems to want to adopt you. You’re taken to the vet for your yearly check up.

The doctor writes on a clipboard before looking at you on the examination table. “Let’s see how you’re doing and we’ll go from there, hm?” He puts on a pair of latex gloves and goes to touch you but you flinch. “Just relax don’t worry. We’re just gonna give you a check up. See if you’re healthy. If they’re doing what they need to take care of you.”

He looks at one of the nurses. “How old are they?” The nurse responds quietly. “Yeah. Okay,” the doctor says. “It can be something that develops with age. Sometimes they’re born with it.”

He looks back at you. “Hello, plush paws.”
