A very intense game against Collingwood. This game meant a lot to the Adelaide Crows. They had not beat Collingwood in a game of AFL for 8 seasons! 8 years! Before Ben even joined the team.
It was a very close game, your brother Josh Rachele wasn’t able to play this game because of his knee which he injured a few games back. So Josh sat next to you in the front row of the seats right by the Crows goal end where the posts sit. On the other side of you sat Milly Dawson, Jordan Dawson’s wife.
Ben was doing really well, I mean your boyfriend always does well but he really wanted to beat Collingwood this game and make history.
Just one more goal. One more goal to be ahead of Collingwood and there would not be enough time for the magpies to catch up and therefore crows would win.
Ben got the ball, he ran, ran like his life depended on it and booted it- praying it would go through. And by some miracle it went through. The crowd in Adelaide oval went wild but Ben didn’t celebrate as the boys went to highfive him, instead he ran up to you and picked you up over the barrier between the seats and the oval and kissed you in front of everyone. Oh Ben how you love him so much.
