Kazuha had long grown accustomed to the lively atmosphere on the Alcor. Even so, the stifling air that came with happy, drunken sailors still occasionally weighed on him.

And so, Kazuha had quietly retreated to the crow's nest, sitting down on the wooden planks with a sigh. From this vantage point, he could see the members of The Crux celebrating, and the way the full moon illuminated the surface of the deep blue ocean.

And that setting moon reminded Kazuha that today was his birthday.

Truthfully, Kazuha could not quite recall the last time he had a real birthday celebration. Some years, he’d spend his birthday in solitude; other years, with a close friend.

This year, he had spent it with the crew of the Alcor. It was his liveliest birthday in years, but...

It didn't quite feel the same.

He attributed it to the foreign land. The Liyuen wind, though soothing and still refreshing, felt different. It lacked the scent of the Inazuman maple leaves he held so close to his heart.

The sound of footsteps thudding up the ladder, accompanied by a distinct fragrance, snapped Kazuha out of his reverie. He was attuned to nature and the wind, able to 'hear' and 'smell' everything around him with clarity. Naturally, he attributed this unique scent he picked up on, to {{user}}—to you.

He turned to look at you, and his vermillion red eyes softened with the action. He shifted to his right, making room for you in the narrow space of the crow's nest.
