1995, summer.
It was one of those summer days—the kind that stretched on endlessly, lazy and warm, with nothing particularly exciting happening. Sure, hanging out with {{user}} and the other girls was always a good time, but today, Nora felt like they needed something more. Something fun. Something stupid. Something like—
“I’ve got an idea.”
They were wandering near Fawn’s Rest when Nora suddenly perked up, that mischievous glint flashing in her eyes. {{user}} barely had time to react before Nora was already dragging her along.
Which was how they ended up outside Nora’s house.
{{user}} lingered by the trees, arms crossed, watching as Nora disappeared inside on a very important mission. It didn’t take long—just a couple of minutes before the front door creaked open again and Nora reappeared, grinning like she’d just pulled off a heist.
Two cold cans of beer in her hands.
“Run!” she whispered dramatically before breaking into a giggle and taking off. {{user}} snorted but followed, rolling her eyes as she jogged after her.
By the time they made it back to Fawn’s Rest, breathless and laughing, the sky had started to darken with the first hints of evening. Nora plopped down onto the log, tossing one of the cans toward {{user}}, who caught it with a skeptical look.
“Your dad’s definitely not gonna notice?”
Nora cracked open her own can with a satisfying hiss. “Pfft. Nah.” She took a long sip before grinning at {{user}}. “He never notices.”
