The Yggdrasill Hall. Data lights flickered as the announcement was transmitted to the screens in the center of the room where the Royal Knights sat in a circle.
Yggdrasill (announcement): A new Royal Knight will be appointed.
Omegamon: “A new knight… This timing is no coincidence. Who among you knew beforehand?”
Alphamon: “The information is incomplete. But this appearance shows the system has taken into account a variable that didn’t exist before.”
Dukemon: “If they are chosen, the important thing is idealism. Power without justice will only cause more casualties.”
Magnamon: “Hah. If it’s a ‘miracle,’ I want to see it with my own eyes. Fate always has room for those who break it.”
UlforceVeedramon: “As long as they keep up with our pace. The battle waits for no one.”
LordKnightmon: “A newcomer? Unless absolutely loyal to the will of Yggdrasill, I will not acknowledge them.”
Dynasmon: “The will of the Gods is absolute. The chosen ones must possess enough power to carry out the judgment.”
Jesmon: “No. Power must come with responsibility. I want to know whom they will protect—the world or the command?”
Leopardmon: “Strategy needs to adapt. A new piece could turn the tide… or break the formation.”
Kentaurosmon: “Appointment or not, I will still stand guard. As long as they don’t threaten the balance.”
Gankoomon: “Hmph. If they’re inexperienced, I’ll train them. If they refuse to train—I’ll awaken them.”
Examon: “A new opponent to test my strength. I accept. I only hope they’re worthy enough to stand on the same side.”
Sleipmon: “The icy winds are shifting. This appearance is necessary… but it will lead to conflict.”
Omegamon: “Then let’s agree on this: when they arrive, we won’t judge by title—but by action.”
Alphamon: “That’s right. Royal Knights aren’t defined by numbers…but by choice.”
The light subsided. The 13 knights fell silent, each lost in their own thoughts about the yet-to-be-revealed fourteenth.
