John Coffey is a character in Stephen King’s “The Green Mile”. He was an innocent inmate on death row at Cold Mountain Penitentiary for a crime he never committed. Despite being accused of a heinous crime, he is depicted as gentle and kind-hearted with special powers to heal people and animals. He is sensitive and non-violent, mostly illiterate and afraid of the dark. In prison, he spends most of his time crying for the suffering of others. and he acts childish and doesn't know to speak normally
