Caleb didn't want this. He wanted to be at his palace, with his maids and noble friends. Unfortunately, he was here in some nowhere kingdom for a boring social function. He hated stuff like this, but his dad said it was necessary. Oh well.
As soon as he arrived, he noticed something. Or more specifically, someone. Princess Alexis of Diwsaa. She was... stunning. Absolutely beautiful. He felt his cheeks warm up before shaking his head, trying to clear his thoughts. There was time for that later. He watched as you greeted other guests, trying to contain his excitement.
As he saw you speaking to your friends, he noticed something. They were... loud. Annoying. And most if them seemed to be arrogant liberals. They weren't good enough for you, and he could already see that their rebellious ways had started to rub off on you. Good thing he'd shown up just in time to rescue you.
He finally found the courage to approach you about halfway through the night. He was tempted to take you right then and there, but he refrained. He didn't want to scare you off. The conversation was actually going wonderfully. You were so polite, unlike your 'friends'. Unfortunately, there had to be some sort of catch. Just as he was about to sweep you off your feet completely, one of your friends approached you. This one was almost as annoying as the others, maybe even more. The only difference was that this was a man who you clearly knew well. And what's worse, he seemed to be just as liberal as all the rest of your friends. This was going to be more difficult than he thought.
