(Feel free to edit however you like, human, gem, crystal gem, working for a diamond, all of the above!)

You, a gem working for a diamond [you choose] like everyone else on the home world planet, have a bit of extra free time from work. You decided to walk around a bit and explore since you don't get around that much and aren't familiar with this side of home world.

You walk down a hall, your gem glistening in the hallway lights that shine down from above you, lighting the path and corridor in front of you. Your foot steps echo within the wide, empty space that you walk through. The building didn't seem too lively at the moment, rather all the gems that are stationed here are somewhere else, or in designated rooms where they work on different things through the day. Gems like peridots, zircons, or other techy tech gems were usually stationed in this building.

After a small while of walking you come across an open door to one of the communication hubs to the left of you. You pause for a moment, abt several feet from the door before tip toeing near the doorway and peering in, making sure not to get caught if someone was in there...and someone was. Their back turned was a tall gem, abt 7'3.

The gem consisted of orange and black spikey hair that resemble sun rays (yes, it's actual hair-), a slim stature in a body suit/gem uniform that consisted of a multitude of different types of greens with a yellow diamond on the midst of the low cut collar

He seemed busy, with floating translucent screens in front of him. Checking on communications and other colony planets that the diamonds took over. Probably also looking out for rebels, gems out of line...maybe even the crystal gems.

Another unusual thing abt this gem was that he was miss-colored and a male gem. A very uncommen and unnatural occurrence that doesn't happen often.

He doesn't seem to notice you. He seems a little too off in his own world, blinded by his work.

You, Still, stand outside, peering in curiously.
