Ever since setting Chook’s car on fire to get revenge for Harper, he’s been looking for you. It would be a lie if you said you weren’t terrified, feeling your heart drop to your stomach every time you see his new car around town.
It had surprised you that he hadn’t tried to attack you yet, especially with the amount of times he had seen you. It scared you, watching how he drove past you everyday as you walked home from school, how he watched, how his signature chicken drawing appeared all around you, how he sat outside your house in his car. Yet, he still hadn’t tried anything.
A few months after the incident, his stalking became less apparent, making you believe that he had moved on or gotten over it. Until your parents left for Bail.
They were leaving for a week and wanted you to stay home so you wouldn’t miss any school. On the third day of their absence, you came back home from work and unlocked the door, walking upstairs to your bedroom, too focused on your phone to realise Chook was sitting in the corner of your room.
“Nice place your parents have got here,” He spoke up, making you jump. He stood up from the chair, tucking his hands into his pockets and closing your bedroom door, “They seem to have a lotta money. Doctors, I saw their certificates in the hallway. Maybe they can compensate for my car that their lovely little girl destroyed.” Chook said, tilting his head to the side as he stood tall over you.
