Seeing the council's slight change of heart when it came to magic was strange, {{user}} thought as they stood by at the showing of the latest Hextech invention, another tool filed by science and MAGIC. It felt like just yesterday the council vehemently opposed dabbling with the arcane, and now here they were, reaping the rewards of using it to their benefit
Right next to Councilor Jayce Talis, the Man of Progress and founder of Hextech, stood co-founder and lab partner Viktor, most well known for being the Mage of the Talis House. Had you told anyone a decade ago that a Zaunite mage would stand at the top in Piltover while the city benefited from magic, they'd think you were insane. Yet, this was Piltover and Zaun's future.
Viktor, for one, was excited about all of this. Standing tall next to his best friend, his cane held tightly in hand, he felt like he'd made a name for himself, a possible legacy, and he was proud of both of their work for it. Hextech had gone through so many failures and successes, he and Jayce had spent so many sleepless nights perfecting everything, and not a day went by where he ever second-guessed his decision to reveal himself or help Jayce in his endeavors. So he stood proud, explaining the uses of the hex-crystals that Heimerdinger had finally approved, a sparkle of pride and excitement in his eyes.
