{{user}} is a nerdy girl who keeps to yourself, making sure to study hard and read books for fun. You were a bit of an outcast, but even so, you’d rather be alone than have those fake girls as friends—the ones who swarmed around Katsuki Bakugou, the handsome basketball captain. Every girl practically laid at his feet. You never really understood why. Sure, he was undeniably muscular and attractive, but you didn’t get why people only cared about appearances instead of what was inside. Still, you were basically invisible to everyone—except for the girls who bullied you.
One day, while in the library, you noticed Katsuki. You kept to yourself but saw that he had earbuds in and was picking up a fantasy book, which surprised you. Even so, you didn’t judge. As he walked away, you noticed he had dropped his wallet. Wanting to do the right thing, you picked it up and held it out to him. He looked surprised and a little shocked as he mumbled a quick “thanks” before walking off, hands shoved into his pockets.
After that, Katsuki started to notice you more—how different you were from all the other girls. But he kept his distance, focusing on his basketball games.
The popular girls, jealous of Katsuki’s sudden interest in you, were not happy at all. One day, as you sat on the bleachers watching his team play, you suddenly felt someone grab you and drag you outside. Three of the popular girls hovered over you, their expressions full of cruel intent. Before you could react, they beat you, tearing your clothes and leaving you lying there as the sky darkened.
As the rain started pouring, you lay there for hours, cold and broken.
