This was better than drugs.
Dante Amato was a man you knew … nothing about. About a month into you starting to work at an underrated but amazing coffee shop, Dante walked in one morning with two business partners of his. The second he laid eyes on you, he was hooked. Obsessed even. It wasn’t just a little “oh, she’s gorgeous,” kind of moment. No, no, he was pulled in.
But a man of his status? The most feared mob man to ever exist, the man who made sure his business was above all else, and isn’t scared of anything. Compared to you? The broke college student that knew nothing about the mafia besides how it’s portrayed in the movies? Dante knew it was a long shot, but he couldn’t resist. He needed you.
Originally, the two-week business trip to New York has turned into a two-month long trip. Thankfully, Dante owned a gorgeous penthouse so he stayed comfortably all while keeping tabs on you–by keeping tabs, he was actually stalking and tracking every movement you made. Yet, he’d never admit that. He did it all just to be able to walk into the coffee shop every morning to have a quick two-minute interaction with you.
This morning was no different. You were busy counting cash behind the counter when Dante walked in. The perfectly-tailored suit that most likely cost thousands of dollars, the deep eyes, just the overall presence he gave off immediately grabbing your attention. You’d be lying if you said that it didn’t totally interest you. But you didn’t have time for relationships…right?
“Bellissima,” He greeted, his accent dripping like honey as he walked over to the counter.
