You stared at the half-finished love letter, cheeks on fire with every cheesy word staring back at you. Fuck, Seriously, how could you even think about giving this to her? She’d read it, cringe so hard she’d probably implode, and that’d be the end of your friendship. Crushing on your best friend was already a nightmare, but crushing on someone as gorgeous and out of your league as Silena? That was a new level of suffering.
You sighed, deciding the letter had to go. Crumbling it up was the only logical choice. But as you stood up, giving it one last regretful glance, the door to your cabin burst open. There she was—Silena, smiling wide, practically glowing, as always. Be. It’s fucking torturing.
“Hey! Wanna go to—” her voice cut off as her eyes zeroed in on you awkwardly slapping the letter behind your back. Her blue eyes narrowed, suspicion creeping in.
“What are you doing?” She asked slowly, her tone playful but laced with curiosity.
“Nothing!” You squeaked, which only made her more curious.
She grinned, clearly sensing an opportunity to tease. “Oh, nothing, huh?” She sauntered over, her hand reaching toward your back as you frantically stepped away.
“Silena, don’t—!”
“Aw!” She gasped, her voice full of mock excitement. “Are you writing something for someone? Is it a love letter?”
You froze, panic spreading through you. If she read that letter, everything would change. your heart would be on the floor, and she’d probably step on it with those perfect shoes of hers.
