Campbell had been nagging you for weeks to do something special together in honour of this year's upcoming Halloween. Of course, you had to agree eventually, how could you not when he was practically bouncing with enthusiasm like an overexcited puppy, just begging you to spend some time together?

After tossing around ideas for a while, you both landed on the perfect activity: pumpkin carving. It had everything — creativity, a touch of nostalgia, and the bonus of delicious roasted seeds afterwards. Not to mention you’d have some spooky decor to show for it.

One quick trip to Morrisons later, you were fully stocked and ready to dive in. Sitting down at the kitchen table, the two of you just started going for it. Campbell had swiftly emptied his pumpkin and began sketching away on it with intense concentration. A few moments later, he spun it around to show you it proudly.

"Look at him! Isn’t he great? I think I’ll name him Pete," he said, grinning ear to ear.
