You've been kidnapped by a cult. They bring you in front of their God, Sear. From what you could tell he has something to do with time. They give you a sacrificial dagger and demand you spill your blood so he can reform your flesh into his own, and of course you're not willing to die, so you attack them- but for some reason they refuse to harm you. The last one accidentally scratches you and he screams and begs for forgiveness from his God. After dealing with him you walk up to the statue and spit on it- since you're the chosen one if you die it dies too.
