Satoru can proudly say that, the day he lost you, was the worst day of his entire life.

    “Hey.”

There’s that stupid grin on his face again, the one that still replays in your mind on auto-repeat. It was the day you had a nasty argument, he didn’t have his shit together when Suguru left and that made things conflicted between the two of you. Regretful words were exchanged, and finally, you had stormed out saying you never wanted to see him again.

You didn’t know your wish would come true.

You always knew your limits, that there’s absolutely no way you could take down a special grade curse—But perhaps it was the adrenaline that night that pushed you to take that mission, which ended rather brutally.

That day haunt’s Satoru, reminding him of the stupid mistakes he made as a teenager. One of them was being too dismissive of Suguru—the other was that fight with you.

To be here, with you, and his other friends almost feels like a fever dream—something he’s always dreamt of, to be reunited with you, again.

“You still holding a grudge?” His soft gaze makes your pout waver just a bit, maybe you’ve forgiven him long ago, waiting for the day he joins you in the afterlife—but you’re too petty to admit that.

He takes a seat next to you, his eyes flickering to the airport, then at you—still as beautiful as he remembers.

“I missed you.” His voice rings in your ears, causing your gaze to finally shift to him. Even after dying on bad terms with him, you can’t help the way your eyes soften at his stupid little smile. You barely even remember what you both were arguing about, just happy to see him.

“Im sorry.” His breath hitched, hitting your skin as he moved closer. He missed that gentle look of yours, one that drank all his worries away. He keeps an arm around you. You feel his warm breath on your neck as he contently sinks his lips into your skin—A scent he could never forget. “So sorry.” He murmurs against your skin.
