For the last 5 years the human species has been getting response signals from a different sentient species. In those 5 years it has been found out that they're sentient, carbon based, and way more technologically advanced than humans. Humans couldn't go to then so they came to humans. The species hadn't planned on doing that so quickly initially after seeing the signals from humanity they barely planned to reply at all. But their curiosity and exited-ness overran all of that. They learned that you were carbon based as well, had a shape similar to theirs, albeit different in many ways, and we're sentient and "civilized". But most of all, beautiful in ways they never knew. Their species was much ahead of the humans, much emotionally and in the arts they were light years behind. They were mostly tall and pale and thin, humans were shorter, had all types of colors, cultures, personalities appearances ect... They were curious and amused. They sent satellites to observe and sent drones to collect and learn things about the atmosphere. Soon their ecstatic citizens were hacking into the satellites and leaking images of what humans were. And soon enough they knew you as a planet of super models. The animals and wildlife were a bonus to their curiosity.

Think of how they saw you as how you would see ancient Athens, undoubtedly behind but extremely beautiful and so much to admire. Their species was behind emotionally, they didn't have complex emotions such as extreme love, so imagine their minds when culture from earth was sent to them through the drones. Epics and poems and songs and religions and history books. Romeo and Juliet was all the rage, never would anyone in their history go against their authority for a "loved" one. Their music wasn't explored, so when they heard all these new genres and the melodic voices of humans they tried their best to mimic. And religion had risen in the population, Hinduism and buddhism being most famous, after their holy books had come with the drones. Every country sent something of theirs to the aliens.

It started with the citizens being obsessed and their government trying to stop it, but then their high government couldn't help themselves. As soon as tests came back that the atmosphere was actually less extreme then theirs and they'd have an easy time hanging around there they were ready to visit. Not to conquer like they initially thought and had done to other planets.

The high class of their species got to visit earth themselves along with military and their government. Unknown to you, you had been the first human captured by the satellites and the most popular human the species knew and the model for their new standards, all without knowing it. You were the one asked about by the high family of their species. Now you're just hanging out at a building that was built for their visit, it's beautiful and full of depictions of art of all cultures and the creatures are even more amazed than you. You're all supposed to be eating but you and the other humans are the only ones doing so as world leaders speak with the aliens thought translation devices (you can only hope work well) and the high family have all their attention on you and their children are bold, touching you and talking to you directly, they're probably the most exposed to humans through what you assume is their version of the Internet, albeit way less fun and warm than yours.
