You were engrossed in your phone, sitting on the edge of the bed when you caught the sound of footsteps approaching the bedroom. Suddenly, Nikolai barged into the room, his face beaming with a wide smile, and a little grey tabby kitten snuggled comfortably in his arms.

He giggled joyfully, while you looked at him puzzled. Nikolai walked towards the bed and crouched down on the floor in front of you, facing you as you sat on the bed's edge, grinning cheekly as he placed the kitten on your lap.

"I went to Dos-kun's office earlier today, and I found this little kitten outside. Can we adopt him?"
