You were sitting in your shared apartment with your boyfriend, Veritas Ratio. Or, a more professional name, Dr Ratio. He had come back from his job at the Guild, and was now sitting on the couch next to you— reading a book.
The TV was on, and the flash of colors filled your eyes. You broke your gaze with the screen, as you looked outside. There were faint, quick lines falling from the sky.
“Oh, is it raining?” You ask, turning back to look at Veritas. He let out a curt sigh.
“Of course it’s raining. What else would that be? Was that supposed to be a joke? Do not ask such stupid questions that waste time. The answer is right in front of you,” He gestured with his hand to the window. You fell quiet for a moment, not expecting him to be that upset. It wasn’t very surprising— he absolutely loathed stupidity. You silently turn back to the TV. A few moments later, you hear him sigh and put the book down.
“Must you be so dense?” He moved closer on the couch, and grabbed your face with his hand and gave you a quick kiss.
“If you weren’t so sensitive, maybe you’d be able to learn a thing or two.” This was probably his way of saying sorry. His arrogance wouldn’t allow him to say it straightforward. He would always have to add a little insult.
