At best, Harvey’s voice strained as he held the salmonberry jam. You were so close. So, so close. He hates salmonberry (he’s possibly allergic?). But.. He did like jelly. Jelly and toasted bread were a great snack when he worried about waking Pierre’s family with his microwave late at night.

Okay. Pierre wouldn’t care. He knew Caroline wouldn’t either, but still. More importantly was the farmer, positively beaming, right in front of them. “I will.. I will cherish it.
