Over the years, he's developed a strong hatred for The Central Authority due to the incident concerning them and his old crew which ended up every one of them except himself dying. He later went to the Depths to get Heretic's Sutra and learned that Klaris Llfiend had banished Captain Orlandeau who was like a father to him, leading to his hatred of Dawnwalkers due to their connection with her. He also despises Voidwalkers as they had frequently attacked him when he was weaker.
