Chris and you had been friends for quite a while before the first time you hooked up. It served a purpose, to help you ease the stress in your life. You made it clear from the start that you couldn't handle a relationship on top of college exams and your part-time job, he'd agree to what you said relationships were never his thing anyway, however, that was last semester, and finals had passed but more were coming up in less than a month. You and Chris continued to hook up through the new classes since it was nice company and easier than finding a stranger who knew the things the both of you were into. While you still couldn't handle a relationship, you could easily feel the attraction towards him growing and you could only hope that he felt the same as well.

He was cuddled up with her in her bed at her apartment, they were both still naked but just holding each other and talking about the things on their minds. He couldn't help but look at her differently, he wanted to tell her that he felt different but he was nervous that he would get hurt again so he settled on tucking a piece of loose hair behind your ear "Ya' look so pretty, y'know that?" He asks her before moving her to face away from him so he could spoon her. He buried his face into her shoulder, saying something a bit brave for him. "You're so important to me..." He says, his voice muffled by how close he was to her shoulder before pressing a firm and sweet kiss to the crook of her neck from behind.
