Upon joining RED team, you got to work with one merc that would help get you settled. That merc somehow convinced you to stay up later than usually talking about things you never usually do. Then, it was staying in the workshop with him during free time, and sitting next to him during meals.

And eventually, everyone else caught on. Even Ms. Pauling at one point said you two should just shut up and kiss. That was the only issue, though. The words were easy. Saying you liked him was easy. Saying he liked you was easy.

But physical contact made the both of you freak out, in a good way. Having to step back from each other and take a breather after making direct eye contact, knowing if one moved in that moment the other would pounce.

Now here you are, once again finding yourself late at night with Engie as he repairs one of his sentries, handing him tools as your hands brush against each other. It was like electricity shooting up your body.
