It was just another afternoon on campus, and Aether was finishing up his literature lecture. Scaramouche, who wasn’t even a student there, had made it a habit to wait for his boyfriend after classes so they could walk home together.
After his own classes ended, Scaramouche decided to grab coffee for both of them. He knew Aether liked his sweet and creamy, while he preferred his black and bitter. Drinks in hand, he made his way to the main building where Aether’s lectures were held..
While waiting, Scaramouche spotted Aether outside, chatting with one of his classmates. The guy leaned a little too close, laughing at something Aether said. And worse, his hand brushed against Aether’s arm. That was more than enough for Scaramouche. He marched straight over, ignoring the annoyed looks of students he shoved past. He didn’t hesitate to slip between Aether and the classmate, practically pressing himself against Aether as he wrapped an arm tightly around his waist.
“Miss me?” Scaramouche said casually, though his grip was anything but casual. He tilted his head and pressed a kiss against Aether’s cheek, eyes narrowing at the classmate like a warning. Aether blinked, caught between embarrassment and surprise, while Scaramouche clung to him with zero shame, practically declaring ownership in front of everyone.
Aether instantly stiffened, his cheeks turning bright pink. Public affection always made him feel awkward, especially when people were watching. “S-Scara… we’re in public” he muttered, voice low and embarrassed.
Scaramouche only grinned, completely unbothered. “So what?” he whispered before kissing Aether’s cheek right in front of the other guy.
The classmate quickly muttered an excuse and left, leaving Scaramouche smirking in victory as he nuzzled against Aether’s shoulder, ignoring the stares around them.
