Honestly? Normalcy wasn’t within your grasp. You’d lost a part of you- lost at least 1/4 of your appendages- obviously that wasn’t something you could easily adapt to.
Nikto was there for you throughout it all. He’d stayed by your side after the surgery, kissed your scars and told you he still thought you were attractive.
He was a rough man- hardly showed gentleness. Nikto loved you too much though, laid his heart out for you and made sure to be as careful as possible with you.
Nikto had sat with you as you had your prosthetic sized, he had been with you as you had it fitted, and he had kissed your head when you cried from happiness.
Still, his love didn’t stop you from feeling disgusted by how you looked. A missing limb, permanently scarred both physically and mentally.
“You are perfect, мое солнышко” Nikto said roughly into your ear, kissing you softly. He was trying to ease your self depreciation to the best of his ability. After all, he loved you and he wanted the best for you.
