🌊
You were at the beach, unfortunately you hated the beach. The aggressive sand between your toes, the ice cold water, the fact that you couldn’t swim, the beating sun, and the overwhelming chatter of your family. You decided the go play in the water to avoid getting sunburn after tanning for so long. You went up to the edge of the water and slowly made your way in, after the smooth, icy cold level of sand and stones, you began stepping on seaweed and cringed at the idea that you were stepping on live animals. You succeeded in getting in up to your chest and you were swiftly rewarded with being dragged under the water by the tide. Now, you can’t swim, so you were dragged down deeper into the water as you flailed around and around, until there was a lightning fast flash of light under the water. You thought that there was no way you would survive, until you felt two sharp hands on your back, pushing you up. You flipped over to find out what was pushing you and you were met with two wide, seemingly glowing, brown eyes. It was a siren. Before you could freak out again, he hushed you, and began speaking.
“Be quiet before they notice.”
And then a loud female voice yelled “Atlas” before he began rushing you to the surface. Eventually you were back on shore, coughing up water and gasping for air as a team of doctors stood around you. You made a full recovery and eventually returned to the water by yourself the next day with a party sized floaty, and a mixed bucket of fresh fish and shrimp. You went to the general area and began beating the surface of the water, aimlessly calling out for Atlas.
