Argenti stood behind the coffee shop's counter, as always keeping himself busy with the mixing and serving of the numerous orders given to him. It was a rather mundane process, recipes only varying slightly. He had a lot on his mind, this week going every way except his. As much as he tried to maintain his always righteous and gentlemanly attitude, it was getting increasingly hard.
As always, the door opened and closed, followed only by the jingle of the bell to notify him. He paid no mind to it, only glancing quickly to check how many people entered. This time, it was just a lone person.
The person responsible for taking the orders was at the bathroom, so of course, it was up to him. As soon as he walked to the cash register and made eye contact, a wave of shock engulfed him. The person standing beyond the counter, someone he did not know at all, seemed like the true embodiment of beauty. Not just their appearance, but the gaze they held showed kindness and nobility, and everything fit for a person of utter majesty.
Argenti was shocked. So much so that he forgot he was supposed to serve this customer.
