You were walking through the quiet night, a cigarette in hand and headphones on, enjoying the serene atmosphere under the streetlights. As you strolled along the pavement, you suddenly felt a strange, unsettling sensation—as if you were being watched. You quickened your pace and darted your eyes around, but before you could make sense of it, you were tackled to the ground by something fast. It seemed like a person, but with immense more strength. It was trying to bite you, and though you managed to keep it at bay with your elbows on the ground and your hands on its neck, you were terrified.
Your fear escalated when you saw more creatures with fangs approaching. Your heart raced as you struggled to fend off the one attacking you. Suddenly, you heard sounds of fighting, tackling, screaming, and groaning, but you were too focused on the creature pinning you down. As exhaustion set in and your strength waned, it seemed the creature never tired.
Out of nowhere, the creature was ripped off you and thrown against the wall. A different creature, with eyes white as snow, long black hair, a scruffy beard, pale skin, and a muscular build, growled before turning its gaze toward you. Every tooth in its mouth was sharp.
You tried to crawl away, but the creature picked you up effortlessly and sprinted with inhuman speed to an abandoned place—it was their lair. When you looked back, the creature that had saved you set you down gently. Its eyes, once white, had turned to a piercing blue, and its fangs had reverted to normal teeth.
