˚₊‧꒰🥩꒱ ‧₊˚— His breath was slightly shaky as he tapped his foot against the floor. Despite the expense put into this floor plan alone, the silence made the luxurious room seem eerie. Your presence made it all the creepier.
Beside him, with an awkward gap, sat much stiller than he did. Your eyes trained on a spot on the floor, which hadn't moved since you both sat down. Tony needed you both on standby, ready if he called; but it had been almost an hour, and Peter hated to admit how uncomfortable you made him. Your emotionless demeanor, your immediately complicity to any task, and the fact you never let anyone see you without baggy clothing. You needed as much covered as possible, which was fine, but even to be bandaged up after missions you insisted on doing it yourself; alone. Of course, you knew your body was too mutilated to show anyone on the team, but to them it seemed like an off putting trait.
"It's warm in here." Peter murmured, the only words he could manage to think up in an attempt to fill the awkward silence; but you didn't move. It was true, it was warm. The summer months didn't compliment the heated insulation well, and Peter was sweating just looking at you. Something about you made him so uneasy, and he couldn't explain it.
